Lubricant Analysis is the most cost effective solution in maintaining clean lubricant and keeping a history of the condition of your lubricant and components. Establishing a trend will assist your company to forward plan lubricant and equipment maintenance service / shut schedules, such as element changes, lubricant filtration and future lubricant changes.
The lubricant in the unit’s system unavoidably comes into contact with almost every moving component; creating possibilities of contamination build up on internal components within the system. It is essential to assess the condition of the lubricant in order to maintain a minimum contamination level throughout the life of the lubricant and components. A reduction in contaminants will extend the life of your lubricant & machinery and reduce operations & maintenance costs associated with maintenance downtime. Once the condition of the lubricant / components is known, action can be taken to correct any problems.
Lubricant sampling can be done by the company’s maintenance department or by one of KPL’s service technicians. The lubricant sample is sent to an independent lab for analysis with a full Report Summary on the analysis result.
